I feel a real need to narrow down my family history research. There are so many wonderful records available now online, and I feel a need to document the people who are the 3540 people I know I am directly related to with good documentation. This list is available in my Legacy database as Tag #1. I am setting my Tag #2 to Direct line ancestors + marry into lines. That includes the 3540 persons Legacy identifies as my Direct Line ancestors plus spouses, their parents, and their siblings I choose to also Tag as a #2. I am going to try to stay away from working on the Tag #5 people in my database who are persons who are related to me in any way. There are 32,382 of them! And many are not carefully documented. Therefore, Priority #1 in my Legacy database is to document carefully the 3540 people I know I am directly related to and then work on their spouses and siblings.
There are my Legacy Tabs as per May 16, 2013. Goal #1 is to have all #1 Tag people also have a Tag 3 and a Tag 4. Then I will work on their spouses, parents, and siblings to have Tags #3 and #4. After that is done, I will work on being sure all these people are really well documented. Once that is done, I will go on to working on Tags 6-9.
